Candolim Beach

Candolim Beach is one of the most popular and most visited beaches of Goa. A serene and picturesque beach, Candolim is relatively peaceful and a good alternative to the more commercial and crowded beaches of Calangute and Baga.

The beach coastline stretches around 30 Km from Aguada Fort to Chapora Beach. This long stretch is dotted with small dunes that offer little shelter from the sun. One can simply laze around on the sun beds and soak in the sun or one can be adventurous and indulge in various water sports. Unlike most other beaches there are almost no beggars and peddlers to pester you on Candolim beach.

One can also go on a boating excursion wherein tourists are taken to the point from where they can capture magnificent sunset views.

A ship, River princess, stuck on the shores of the beach since 2000, serves as another tourist attraction.

Lined with shacks and bars, the beach is known for its food and drinks and offers sundry options for stay like Guest houses, hotels and beach resorts.

With the rainy season extending from June to October, the best time to visit Candolim beach is from November to February.
