Lakshmi Ashram
Founded in 1964, by Catherine Heileman, follower of Mahatma Gandhi, who came to be known as ‘Sarlaben’, the Ashram provides shelter to orphaned poor girls and widows who are taught several skills here like cooking, growing vegetables, rearing animals, cleaning etc.
Sumitranandan Pant Gallery
A gallery, housing hundreds of English and Hindi books, built to commemorate Sumitranandan Pant, a renowned hindi poet who was born here.
Kausani Tea Estate
Kausani has a no. of widespread tea-gardens. High-flavoured Uttaranchal tea is produced here and exported to Australia, US, Germany and Korea. Here you can get a glimpse of how tea is manufactured.
