Coaker’s Walk

Coaker’s Walk is a kilometre long pedestrian pathway, along the edge of steep slopes, overlooking beautiful landscapes on the South-eastern side of Kodaikanal.

Constructed in 1872 AD by Lt Coaker, the walkway starts near Van Allen hospital and joins the main road above St. Peter’s church.

A stroll on the walkway takes hardly five minutes, however one can simply immerse in the natural beauty of the surroundings and spend some good time here absorbing and capturing views.

At the southern end of the Coaker’s Walk is located an observatory with a telescope where visitors make a beeline trying to get a closer look of the popular landmarks.

Best Time To Visit Coaker’s Walk – Before 2 PM as thereafter an opaque mist begins to settle and veils the entire surroundings.

Note – No plastics are allowed on the walkway.

Entry Fee -- Nominal
