Hill Stations

Hill-stations in India are popular world-wide for their ethereal beauty, salubrious climate, breathtaking landscapes & quaint charm and are visited by a large number of tourists, both foreign and Indian, who are looking for an escape from their busy routine and need to relax and unwind in the lap of Mother Nature!

Most of the hill-stations in India were developed by the British during the Raj and were set up as their summer capitals to provide them relief from the oppressive heat of the subcontinent.

Later, however, these beautifully architectured and strategically located towns became famous tourist spots and are frequented throughout the year by honeymooners looking forward to having some splendid time and memorable moments in these romantic retreats, families wanting to spend some quality time together and even single men and women who are out for adventure or just want to spend some rejuvenating time all by themselves!

What adds to their beauty and significance is the association of numerous legends with many of the hill-stations and it’s amazing to see how different mythological stories are interwoven and how various ancient structures reinforce the Indian Mythology.

Though best visited in summers when the weather is pleasant and perfect, hill-stations have a different charm during winters which makes them alluring and delightful through-out the year.

Take a break in any of the Indian hill-stations and you are bound to come back for more!
