A quiet little hideaway in the Shivalik hills between Chandigarh and Shimla, Kasauli is a small cantonment and a town in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.

A small settlement in the 17th century for Rajput families, Kasauli was discovered and developed by the British during 19th century, the impressions of whom are still distinguishable.

Kasauli is a beautiful and peaceful hill-station flocked by honeymooners and tourists when they are looking for some respite from the urban environs and want to have some quiet time by themselves.

The best thing about Kasauli is that there is practically nothing to do here. However its bracing, crisp air and refreshing climate compel you to go for long walks in the woods and capture & explore the picturesque surroundings and rich flora & fauna.

It comes as no surprise that Kasauli has been voted as one of Asia’s Best Literary excursion.
